Low Tide

A free chill practice piece for electric guitar, level 2 (beginner). Written for TabFollower, where the tab scrolls over a live band that hears what you play.

What you practise

Low Tide keeps the lead on strings 1 to 3 (e to G), between fret 0 and fret 7, so it suits a beginner player working on chill feel. No articulations: every note is picked, which is what level ${entry.level} is about. The band plays 4 beats to the bar at 76 bpm; in the app you can take it down to 19 bpm and let it wait for you in Practice mode, or switch off the clock entirely in Step mode.

Structure

Tab excerpt: bars 5 to 8
