Slow Rain

A free moody practice piece for electric guitar, level 1 (first steps). Written for TabFollower, where the tab scrolls over a live band that hears what you play.

What you practise

Slow Rain keeps the lead on strings 1 to 2 (e to B), between fret 0 and fret 5, so it suits a first steps player working on moody feel. No articulations: every note is picked, which is what level ${entry.level} is about. The band plays 4 beats to the bar at 66 bpm; in the app you can take it down to 17 bpm and let it wait for you in Practice mode, or switch off the clock entirely in Step mode.

Structure

Tab excerpt: bars 5 to 8

One column per sixteenth note. Chord names on the top line; h hammer-on, p pull-off, s slide, ~ vibrato, pm palm mute, and a b after a fret marks a bend. The full 16-bar tab, the band and the scoring are in the app.
