Iron Current

A free rock practice piece for electric guitar, level 4 (confident). Written for TabFollower, where the tab scrolls over a live band that hears what you play.

What you practise

Iron Current keeps the lead on strings 1 to 5 (e to A), between fret 0 and fret 12, so it suits a confident player working on rock feel. Techniques drawn on the tab: 47 vibrato, 27 hammer-ons, 25 slides, 11 pull-offs, 9 palm muting, 6 bends. The band plays 4 beats to the bar at 132 bpm; in the app you can take it down to 33 bpm and let it wait for you in Practice mode, or switch off the clock entirely in Step mode.
