First Position Shuffle

A free blues practice piece for electric guitar, level 2 (beginner). Written for TabFollower, where the tab scrolls over a live band that hears what you play.

What you practise

First Position Shuffle keeps the lead on strings 1 to 3 (e to G), between fret 0 and fret 7, so it suits a beginner player working on blues feel. No articulations: every note is picked, which is what level ${entry.level} is about. The band plays 4 beats to the bar at 92 bpm; in the app you can take it down to 23 bpm and let it wait for you in Practice mode, or switch off the clock entirely in Step mode.

Structure

One column per sixteenth note. Chord names on the top line; h hammer-on, p pull-off, s slide, ~ vibrato, pm palm mute, and a b after a fret marks a bend. The full 28-bar tab, the band and the scoring are in the app.
