Midnight Shuffle

A free blues practice piece for electric guitar, level 5 (advanced). Written for TabFollower, where the tab scrolls over a live band that hears what you play.

What you practise

Midnight Shuffle keeps the lead on strings 1 to 6 (e to E), between fret 0 and fret 15, so it suits a advanced player working on blues feel. Techniques drawn on the tab: 78 palm muting, 50 pull-offs, 27 vibrato, 26 hammer-ons, 8 bends, 6 slides. The band plays 3 beats to the bar at 108 bpm; in the app you can take it down to 27 bpm and let it wait for you in Practice mode, or switch off the clock entirely in Step mode.
